I have been teaching both English and Spanish for over 24 years. I have learned a lot from my little students, since they appreciate having fun yet meaningful lessons. So even with adults, I do my best to first create a nice environment that promotes learning in a meaningful way.
I try to establish a situation that is familiar to the students and from there , start building sentences, use new vocabulary words, explain and use grammar structures, and promote conversations that help students practice what they are learning. With little ones, I love using pictures and images that help them feel confidence to explain and talk on what they see or hear. There are so many chants and songs I have learned through these years, so I use them to teach little students colors, numbers, vocabulary and so on.
I would be glad to have the opportunity to share with you my techniques to not only learn Spanish but also enjoy the process.
